DAY 4. 24/01


On my fourth day in Germany, I realized the numerous cultural differences between Spain and Germany. Here, all students have their lunches in the hallways, in the classrooms, or in the cafeteria. In contrast, in Spain, everyone eats during the break outside the school. Another significant cultural shock I noticed was that in Germany, everyone wears jeans, and it's frowned upon to wear tracksuits to school. However, in Spain, many people wear tracksuits, and there's no issue with dressing however you like. Finally, I used to think that Germans were very quiet and had little sense of humor, but I've realized that everyone is quite funny and sociable.

DAY 0. 24/02

Today, February 24th, I am writing my last Erasmus blog entry while I am on the plane back to Spain. As you may have noticed, I have decided to name this entry day 0 instead of day 35 because today is not only the end of our stay in Germany, but also the beginning of our stay in Spain with our host sisters, or rather with our friends, because we have not only created a very good friendship among us, but we have also decided not to lose contact when we are no longer together. Erasmus has been one of the best things that has happened to me in a long time. And not only because it has helped me learn English or become independent, but it has also shown me that I will always have a place in Germany. One of the things I am most grateful for to the program is for forcing me to meet someone who has become very special to me. DAY 20-21. 09/02-10/02

The next day, Friday morning, I was feeling unwell and decided not to go to school. However, in the afternoon I started feeling better and began to pack my suitcase. Once finished, we gathered everything and my family and I set off towards Italy. The following week was the start of the carnival holidays, which is why we had decided to rent a house for four days in the South Tyrol, in the Alps. Upon arrival, we unpacked and settled into our new home. The next day, we had breakfast to gather our strength and the whole family went hiking. The views were incredible. At that moment, I realized that my vacation in Italy would be unforgettable.

DAY 1 21/01

  The first day in Germany was incredible! First, we took a bus from Logroño to Bilbao and then another bus that would take us to LOIU airport. After that, we checked in our luggage and took off to an unknown destination for us. Upon landing, we grabbed our suitcases and met our host sisters. Clara and her mother took me to what would be my home for a month and showed me all the rooms in the house.  Later, Clara and Frida, one of my host sisters, took me for a walk, and we saw all those beautiful snow-covered landscapes. Finally, I had dinner with my host family and met the rest of my siblings, Ana and Noa. It was an amazing day when I realized that ERASMUS+ would be one of the best experiences of my adolescence.
